Shoulder Pain Relief

Shoulder Pain—Easy to Injure, Complex to Treat.

Shoulders are one of the most mobile joints in the body. They are primarily made up of soft tissue which makes them less stable and more likely to be injured. When injuries do occur, scar tissue forms in the shoulder more easily than in other joints. This leads to increased pain and lost mobility. InMotion Pain Solutions’ therapies address not just the shoulder itself but surrounding and supporting tissues to return function. This is important for long-lasting pain relief, because when your body is able to move properly, it heals.

Proven Therapies for Shoulder Pain

InMotion Pain Solutions’ shoulder treatment protocols were custom developed and proven effective for Olympic athletes, including javelin throwers. These athletes require care that relieves pain and restores function without disrupting their daily lives so they can continue to compete at the highest level.

Now, you too have access therapies that were once reserved for world-class athletes.

GearsTo properly address shoulder pain, you have to look beyond the shoulder itself to the supporting tissues and systems. Lifting your arm requires not just the shoulder joint, but also the clavicle (collar bone) and scapula (shoulder blade). If both are not moving properly, it can cause undue pressure on the shoulder, leading to wear out and injury.

Shoulders also contain a lot of soft tissue (including muscles, ligaments, and tendons) but get very little blood supply. This is one reason why shoulder injuries are common and why scar tissue forms in the shoulder easier than other joints. Scar tissue is tight, fibrous tissue that contains more pain fibers than regular tissue. It is painful and restricts normal motion.

When shoulder motion is restricted, the body does not produce synovial fluid to lubricate and protect the joint capsule. Left untreated, this can lead to permanent damage in the shoulder and may lead to shoulder replacement surgery.

InMotion Pain Solutions understands the mechanics of shoulder pain and how to relieve pain and restore proper motion to injured shoulders without the need for drugs, injections, or surgery.
