Arthritis in Hand & Knee | Alternative to Surgery
The arthritis in Jan’s hands was to the point that it ached all the time. Opening jars became a chore. She had to give up crocheting. Her hand pain, combined with the pain in her knee, was so bad that she would turn down offers to go out and do things with her friends.
Daily icing and Tylenol were no longer working. The only treatment she knew of was surgery. Jan had already had one knee replacement surgery and was not ready to get another – nor was she ready to get an operation on her hands.
She appreciated the time that Dr. Ben Wyant of InMotion Pain Solutions spent with her in the consultation really explaining what was going on with her arthritis pain. She learned things that no other doctor had ever explained to her before.
Before treatment, Jan said her pain level was an 8 (on a scale of 1 to 10). After treatment, Jan reports that her pain has been reduced by 70-80% and is excited to have some days where she’s completely pain free. Even her friends have seen the difference as she’s become more active again.
“I really did not expect to have the lower level of pain that I have. There are days when I am pain free, and that’s a miracle to me.”
